Trading Zones

  • View
  • Outline

There are Trading opportunities in many places, but some zones have more concentrated opportunities for it. Below is a list of the most important Trading Zones in the different Dimensions. (Check the maps for further directions where to find them).

PREHISTORIC DIMENSION

The main Tradingzones are the Greek Islands and Mainland, Egypt, Kush and Punt.

Greek Islands

are reasonably safe, as long as you don't attack anything and stay out of the islands Tenedos and Icaria. The sea has a few perils, but if you use one of the numerous ships, the voyage will be totally safe. Some of the merchandise asked for may be in remote or perilous places, but as a newbie you can always stick to the easy stuff.-

Egypt, Kush and Punt

are a bit more perilous, sailing on the Nile has its risks, and the trading goods is a lot harder to get. But on the other hand trading in these countries pays better than the more generic goods that is sold and bought in Greece.

  • The Greek Islands

This is a large zone, over 600 rooms and 25 islands (including the peninsula Athos). All the islands have at least one - and usually several - trading mobs. Most of the islands also have more or less unique natural assets and in some case places where raw material can be developed into more valuable products. There are around 100 different trading opportunities in this zone alone. Trading charts and Sea charts can be bought on Carpathos, and there are also maps on our Website.

  • The Greek Mainland

Although the trading opportunities are not quite as frequent as on the islands, the mainland still offers some places, where you usually can get a better price than on the more frequented islands. Above all Olympia would be recommended. Also many of the herbs and spices needed for the famous Cos Potions, the Samothrace Incense and the Athos Liqueur can be found on the Mainland.

  • Egypt, Kush and Punt

The Nile has always been the main artery of the countries along its course, and this river is the most important Trade route.
The trade between the three countries Egypt, Kush and Punt is lively, with Kush in a strategic position between the other two. There are Trading Markets in several places along the course of the river; - Aswan, Elephantine Island, Kerma, Napata, Meroe and Khartoum, which all sell and buy a number of the most common trading articles for TradePoints, but at somewhat varying prices.
In the Land of Punt however, trading with the natives is traditionally done by bartering.
There is also a trader in the Egyptian city Two Cities, near the Nile Estuary, but he is a bit harder to find than the Trading Markets.
